Alcohol Awareness

This is a training that serves as a private and confidential means for students to actively engage in the topic of alcohol use here on the Norwich campus. In this training participants will be asked to reflect on their own personal pattern of drinking and to explore the benefits and risk factors associated with that pattern of use. Additionally, participants will learn about the signs and symptoms of risky, abusive, or dependent patterns of alcohol use while being informed on how to, when to, and where to seek out support for themselves or others in need of intervention.

Suicide Prevention

This Question Persuade Refer (QPR) presentation teaches anyone how to recognize the signs of suicide and how to intervene to help save a life. By giving students accurate information and clear language, QPR will help them know what to do when they’re concerned about someone’s mental health.

Stress Busters

Stress is a leading factor in our students receiving a lower grade on a test or assignment. We know that too much stress is bad ... but, now what? No stress relief method works for every person in every situation — and that's OK. This workshop will give students information about what stress is and how it affects their bodies, brains and emotional experiences. They will leave with ideas for  hands-on activities and resources to better manage their stress.
