New graduates reflect on the four years of work that led to a shining moment of achievement

Anita DiMento and Jacqueline Federico wore their Commencement joy not on their sleeves, but around their necks.Neon-colored leis interwove with strings of dollar bills (for apartment rent, they joked) and necklaces of snacks — M&M’s, Skittles, fun size Snickers bars, several varieties of Doritos. DiMento somehow also had an asparagus bundle in her skein. (Someone had to eat healthy, right?)

A week before Norwich University’s 531-member Class of 2022 headed to Shapiro Field House and Saturday’s graduation, alumni followed recent tradition and offered congratulations and encouragement online.

NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Norwich University celebrated commencement and commissioning with April 30 ceremonies in Shapiro Field House in which 531 students graduated from 32 undergraduate programs and one master’s program and 134 graduates commissioned into the U.S. armed services.

Corps of Cadets names leaders for 2022-23; regimental commanders old and new reflect

Milestones pack any spring semester’s final weeks, forming a celebratory trail to Commencement and Commissioning’s grand finale. The hurdle of exams and capstone presentations gives way to social gatherings, awards ceremonies and the Corps of Cadets’ annual changing of command.
