Angel Tree drive, which collects items for children in economically struggling local families, leads week’s slate

The year-end holidays’ advent ushers in the annual giving season. And generosity is on this week’s schedule with the Center for Civic Engagement’s annual Angel Tree drive.

30-19 victory over Georgetown in northeast regional helps Cadets advance

Norwich University’s men's rugby team is Houston-bound! 

The Cadets punched their ticket to their fourth Division II national final four weekend by claiming the National Collegiate Rugby (NCR) northeast regional title with a 30-19 victory over Georgetown on Sunday morning at the South Jersey Rugby Club Complex.

Architecture + Art chair making teaches craftsmanship, shop safety, geometry

All 24 first-year architecture students received 1/3 of a sheet of plywood to create an iconic Zig Zag chair based upon Gerrit Rietveld’s mid-1930s design. Formed by four wood planes joined in rhythmic sequence, it is one of the first examples of a cantilevered solid wood chair.

U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt.’s pending retirement will cap decades of cybersecurity education support that helped birth the Norwich University Applied Research Institutes and land the university millions of dollars in cybersecurity-related research-and-development contracts.
