Teams return to play after coronavirus pandemic-forced hiatus

Norwich University’s sports teams eagerly returned to action as coronavirus restrictions eased and vaccinations rolled out. Here’s a chronological 2021 recap.

Dr. Mark Anarumo’s move into dorms during pandemic draws national media spotlight

2021 brought many challenges and opportunities for the university’s 24th president, Mark Anarumo. His first year started when he took the helm in June 2020, and was defined by the then-in-full-swing COVID-19 pandemic.

Hires include commandant, chief of staff, provost

Several key administrative positions were filled this year, as the university named a vice president of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; a combined vice president of student affairs and commandant; and provost; a chief financial officer; a chief of staff and a new athletic director.
