On Saturday, Feb. 7, 10 scouts ages 12-16 joined master's architecture students Haley Brewster '25, M'26, Caroline Fraser '25, M'26, and architecture undergrad Mykel Fungi '26 to earn their Architecture Merit Badge in Chaplin Hall.

They learned about sustainable architecture practice, building types, and general terms utilized by designers. They took part in a structure-making competition using mini marshmallows and toothpicks to create towers and explored scaled drawings of Chaplin Hall. After touring the building and seeing various works by architecture students, they also learned of the many paths architects can take in professional practice.
