Norwich University is proud to announce a significant update to its renowned degree program in the Leahy School of Cybersecurity and Advanced Computing. The University has rebranded its Computer Security and Information Assurance (CSIA) degree to Cybersecurity and Advanced Technology (CSAT) to better reflect the evolving landscape of modern technology and to align with current industry standards.

On November 16, 2024, the Norwich University AI Center, in collaboration with Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI), hosted a unique one-day event focused on "AI and Humanitarian Disaster Response" for high school students and new Norwich students hoping to learn about AI, all inspired by a challenge from Vermont Senator Peter Welch.

On Saturday, November 16th, the AI Center alongside the Norwich University Applied Research Institutes (NUARI) was privileged to host Vermont Senator Peter Welch for a hands on exercise in using AI to respond to humanitarian disasters.

Through a competitive selection process, Norwich University’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies (CGCS) has appointed Bill Lyons to oversee and facilitate cybersecurity, diplomacy, and strategic studies programs and Dr. Robin Saunders as the Cybersecurity and Information Systems Academic Director.

Competing against eight teams, the Norwich team showcased their skills to land second in the intermediate division.

Norwich University hosts its 30th annual Military Writers' Symposium and awards Mariana Budjeryn the 2024 Colby Award, making her the first woman to receive the honor.

This summer, Norwich hosted high school and college students, educators, and military leaders for multiple enriching events focused on expanding their cyber knowledge to new levels.

Norwich University recently hosted an Information Warfare Exercise (IWE) for Norwich University, Virginia Military Institute (VMI), The Citadel, Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, and the University of North Georgia (UNG) Information Warfare interns and faculty and Division staff from the Army's 10th Mountain Division.
