Captured in Motion: Norwich Athletics Through the Lens of Nico Leonard
Reflecting on Fall 2025, Norwich celebrates Nico Leonard’s powerful imagery capturing the intensity, heart, and spirit of Cadet athletics this season.
As Norwich University looks back on Fall 2025, the story of our athletics program is told not only through victories, perseverance, and pride—but through the powerful visual narrative captured by Athletic Communications Specialist and photographer Nico Leonard.
From the roar of Sabine Field under the night lights to the intensity of rink-side moments and the determination across the pitch, court, and course, Nico’s images captured the emotion, grit, and relentless drive that defined the season. His photographs highlight resilience, camaraderie, and excellence, chronicling moments of triumph, quiet focus, and team unity that define what it means to wear Norwich colors.
In revisiting his images, we see more than action shots—we see a season of growth, grit, and community. Nico’s relentless commitment to telling the Norwich athletic story with care and creativity have allowed us to celebrate every milestone and remember every moment, long after the final whistle. As we close the chapter on 2025 and look ahead to a new season of competition and possibility, we do so with gratitude for the way his work continues to honor our athletes, elevate their journeys, and strengthen the spirit of Norwich Athletics.
