The Sullivan Museum and History Center is most fortunate to be able to partner as an Affiliate with the Smithsonian Institution.

This partnership brings multiple opportunities to Norwich University enabling access to the nation’s collection throughout the 19 Smithsonian Museums, including access to major collections pertinent to the history of Norwich University, Vermont and the story of our contributions to American history and our nation’s development. In addition, the Sullivan Museum and History Center will be able to share our collections with other Affiliates across the nation.

Our exhibits cover the rich history of Norwich University, including artifacts and artwork, and the achievements of its alumni from 1819 to the present. Admissions to the museum is free and access to the museum is handicap accessible. If access to a wheelchair is needed during a visit, please notify a staff member.

Support from members and donors is the driving force that allows the Sullivan Museum and History Center to continue its work, bringing art, history, and culture alive for the Norwich community and the public. There are many ways to contribute and get involved with the museum, including becoming a member, volunteering, and making a donation.
