Parking and Transit
If you are traveling to campus via I-89 or from Rt. 12, they will both be backed up on the morning of the ceremony. Please leave early. Doors to Shapiro will open promptly at 8:00 a.m.
All campus parking lots are open for parking during Commencement and Commissioning events. The campus will be well-marked for parking throughout the weekend, and parking attendants will be present to direct traffic.
Guests with a valid handicap parking tag or mobility limitations can park along Gen. ID White Avenue, at Shapiro Field House, and in designated accessible parking areas. We strongly advise that guests with mobility limitations bring their medical equipment such as wheelchairs and walkers with them. We will have a few wheelchairs to loan which will be first come, first served, but the venues and parking lots on campus are large. Please comply with all posted signs and with the parking staff's directions.
Guests can be dropped off directly outside of Shapiro Field House but the road is narrow and turning around can be difficult due to heavy pedestrian and golf cart traffic around the venues.
Golf carts
Golf carts and authorized drivers are available during the weekend to assist guests with transportation between venues and from parking lots. Carts will circle campus regularly and can be flagged by guests. Priority will be given to guests with mobility limitations.

Day Of Tip: Please arrive to campus as early as possible on Saturday morning. There is often spring road construction on Rt. 12 between Montpelier and Northfield, VT. If you find there is construction, take I-89 and get off at the Northfield exit (exit 5) instead of taking Rt. 12. Please check below for road construction updates and delays.
