Norwich ROTC Cadets crushed the competition at the 35th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March
Out of 80 participating teams, the Norwich University Alpha Team placed first in the Team ROTC Heavy Division and third overall with a time of 5:14 hr.

Norwich University sent two teams of ROTC Cadets to participate in the 35th Annual Bataan Memorial Death March, held on March 16th at White Sands Missile Range. The event honors a special group of World War II heroes who were responsible for the defense of the Philippine Islands of Luzon, Corregidor, and Harbor Defense Forts.
Our teams, made up of Navy, Air Force, and Army ROTC Cadets and a mix of MS1 through MS4, absolutely crushed the competition! Out of 80 participating teams, the Norwich University Alpha Team placed first in the Team ROTC Heavy Division and third overall with a time of 5:14 hr. The Norwich University Alpha Team was out-rucked by only the teams from the British Special Forces and the 82nd Airborne, missing first place by only 11 minutes over 26.2 miles.
