It also provides crucial resources that allow Norwich University offer timely response to unforeseeable events and urgent needs, such as during the coronavirus pandemic. To increase the impact of our programs on student outcomes and continue thriving even during uncertain circumstances, we will further build this source of flexible current and future-use support.

The Impact of COVID-19:

  • Fiscal Year 2020 resulted in $3 million in lost revenue and incremental expenses, largely due to a return of room and board fees. Norwich also incurred more than $100,000 in unforeseen costs, including transitioning to online learning during the spring 2020 semester.
  • For Fiscal Year 2021, the estimated cost of COVID-19 testing for students, faculty, and staff is estimated to exceed $1 million.
