Artillery Battery

Norwich Artillery Battery

Ready, aim, learn (leaving plenty of room for the 'fire')

This unit’s cadets learn to safely operate, maintain and employ artillery pieces including M1A1, 75mm Pack Howitzers, a Sir W.C. Armstrong and Whitworth Salute Cannon. In addition to field training, the Artillery Battery fires missions to support Norwich University for football touchdowns, graduation ceremonies, alumni Homecoming, Family Weekend and events honoring visiting dignitaries.

"Artillery Battery is without a doubt the most challenging and rewarding thing that I have done thus far at Norwich University. Not only has the battery pushed me physically through its vigorous physical fitness regimen, it has greatly expanded my knowledge of military tactics, and my confidence as a leader. NAB has also helped me to develop bonds of friendship and camaraderie that will last long after I graduate."

"Participating in the Norwich Artillery Battery enhanced my Norwich experience by giving me an opportunity to push myself further than I knew I could, learn artillery and light infantry knowledge, and create a bond with my team members that will last forever. Being in this unit will take a lot of work and commitment, but it is the most memorable moment of my Norwich career making it in and seeing the hard work pay off."

"Coming to Norwich in itself is certainly a challenge, but it is one that will prepare you best for your future; whether you’re going into the military or a civilian lifestyle. Beyond that, the Norwich Artillery Battery only brings your skillset further, presenting a greater challenge and providing the necessary training to ensure success in your future."
