COL Joel Newsom is the Professor of Military Science and Commanding Officer for the U.S. Army ROTC Pioneer Battalion at Norwich University. He is an infantry officer who commissioned in 1996 through the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He has served in numerous staff and command positions and deployed to support operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
