Photo: Elephant uses trunk to "kiss" a young woman

Following a summer intern¬ship in Seattle, architecture program master’s candidate and newlywed Michael Menn ’19 traveled with his wife to Bali for their honeymoon. Here, a captive elephant gives Katya a “kiss” at a safari show in Ubud. The couple also met far less gentle species, including the island’s abundant, lar¬cenous, and apparently tech-savvy monkeys. “One of them climbed on me and tried to open my backpack and get my drone out,” Menn said.
