NU's School of Nursing helps meet a critical demand for nurses with vision, innovation and educational excellence. Our mission is to prepare students who earn nursing degrees to be globally minded nurse leaders and scholars through innovative and diverse experiential education and research.
The School of Nursing gives students the tools and ties to succeed. Outstanding faculty, new simulation laboratories and technological applications — electronic health records, handheld personal digital assistants and innovative applications — make our classrooms top-flight learning laboratories. Clinical affiliations with academic medical centers, such as Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the University of Vermont Medical Center and community hospitals and clinical sites let our students put lessons into practice in real-world environments.
We’ll challenge you to provide optimum quality and valued patient care in complex health care systems. Our program offers a four-year program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
