NU's School of Nursing help meet a critical demand for nurses with vision, innovation, and educational excellence. Our mission is to prepare students who earn a nursing degree to be globally minded nurse leaders and scholars through innovative and diverse experiential education and research.
Supported by outstanding faculty and new simulation laboratories, classrooms, and learning laboratories, the School of Nursing offers you an environment that encourages achievement and growth. Clinical affiliations with academic medical centers, such as Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the University of Vermont Medical Center, and community hospitals and clinical sites, provide our majors with excellent clinical resources and experiential-learning environments. Our students use a variety of technological applications in the classroom and in clinical settings, including electronic health records, handheld PDAs, and innovative applications for accessing timely clinical information.
We’ll challenge you to provide optimum quality and valued patient care in complex health care systems. Our program offers a four-year program leading to the Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and eligibility to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
