Students who wish to study education but are not interested in the full licensure program may pursue a minor degree specific to either elementary or secondary education. Both require the completion of six courses outlined in the curriculum. A minor in education can be used to further an interest in becoming a teacher at a later time, or to pursue employment in a preschool or public school as a paraeducator.
