Norwich University Interim Policy and Procedures for Package/Item Drop Off

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. – Roberts Hall

Norwich University offers Norwich parents and family members the opportunity to drop off essential items and/or packages for student receipt Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Roberts Hall on I.D. White Avenue.

In compliance with Vermont Department of Health and CDC guidelines, parents and family members must complete a health screening questionnaire and temperature check upon arrival to Roberts Hall and wear a mask at all times. A person is not required to do screening if they remain outside Roberts Hall for a quick drop off and leave campus immediately after the drop off.

Prior to arrival at Roberts Hall, parents and/or family members must call the Admissions Office at (802) 485- 2001 to confirm a date and time for package/item drop off. No packages will be accepted if prior confirmation is not accomplished.

Parents and/or family members are solely responsible for contacting the student recipient of the package/item being delivered and arranging with them to have the package/item picked up upon arrival. There is no overnight storage available in Roberts Hall - all packages/items must be picked up on the same day as when the package/item is delivered to Roberts Hall.

Upon arrival, parents and/or family members must call the Admissions office at (802) 485-2001 to facilitate entry into Roberts Hall. Parents and/or family members will be met by Admissions staff at the entrance of Roberts Hall.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents and/or family members may not visit with the student at Roberts Hall or on campus. The Norwich University campus is officially closed to visitors at this time to ensure the health and safety of the Norwich community amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Parents and/or family members will be asked to exit Roberts Hall promptly once the package/item has been dropped off. Restroom facilities are available to parents and/or family members if required at the time of package delivery/item drop off.

Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 a.m. the following morning;
Friday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following Monday
Jackman Hall Guard Room

Prior to arrival to Jackman Hall, parents and/or family members must call the Guard Room at (802) 485-2589 a minimum of two hours prior to arrival to confirm that the guard is present to receive a package/item. No packages will be accepted if prior confirmation is not accomplished.

Parents and/or family members are solely responsible for contacting the student recipient of the package/item being delivered and arranging with them to have the package/item picked up upon arrival. There is no overnight storage available in the Guard Room - all packages/items must be picked up on the same day as when the package/item is delivered to the Guard Room.

Upon arrival, parents and/or family members will park in a visitor’s parking spot in the Jackman Hall parking lot. Parents and/or family members will enter Jackman Hall on the main floor (200 level) and drop off the package/item at the Guard Room, which is located midway down the corridor, to the Guard. The family member will provide the student’s name and room number to the Guard.
