NORWICH UPDATES

Keeping our Norwich students and community informed and safe.

spring 2021 covid testing

PLEASE NOTE: In the abundance of caution and for the health and safety of the Norwich and central Vermont community, the Norwich campus is closed to the public for the foreseeable future to include all buildings, fields and tracks. Thank you for your understanding.

Per Vermont Health Department COVID-19 guidelines, students still may not pick up their mail directly.

A high volume of packages continues to arrive in Norwich University’s mailroom. This has pressured our systems, sometimes causing internal snags or hiccups from interfacing with the United Parcel Service or the U.S. Postal Service.

As of last week, the mailroom is caught up on the backlog of packages. Hiccups should be few and far between now.

Going forward, students should allow two to three business days for packages to be delivered to their dorm room by the mailroom and facilities staff. Heavy snowfall will delay delivery. Because of room moves based on COVID-19 cases/quarantine changes and other students’ departures, it can take up to a week for mail to find on-campus students in their new rooms.

If students or parents have questions about package arrival at Norwich’s mailroom, they may contact Assistant Vice President of Facilities Bill Nash directly at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and provide the tracking number.

We greatly appreciate your patience as we work to get student mail and packages delivered directly to dorm rooms/barracks and maintain a safe environment with reduced physical interactions.
