NORWICH UPDATES

Keeping our Norwich students and community informed and safe.

PLEASE NOTE: In the abundance of caution and for the health and safety of the Norwich and central Vermont community, the Norwich campus is closed to the public for the foreseeable future to include all buildings, fields and tracks. Thank you for your understanding.

Coronavirus’ (COVID-19) impact on Norwich University update.

Today Vermont Governor Phil Scott added new restrictions to last week's Stay Home/Stay Safe executive order, backing up federal efforts to stop the spread of the coronavirus from known hot spots. Governor Scott ordered Vermont residents and non-residents coming from outside Vermont for anything other than essential purposes, and to home-quarantine for 14 days. These new restrictions come after President Trump announced an advisory that targeted travelers from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut over this past weekend.

Please be advised that Norwich students who have yet to remove their belongings from their barracks or dormitory rooms should not plan to do so in the immediate future for their health and well-being, as well as the health and well-being of students currently on campus. Governor Scott’s Stay Home/Stay Safe executive order is currently in effect until April 15, 2020.
