Jessica Hurlbert, Exercise Physiology
(Faculty Mentor: Dr. Elizabeth Wuorinen)

This study provided information about how physiological variables change in response to intensity of exercise modifications during single-legged and two-legged cycling. The hypothesis being tested for this study was that there is a greater energy expenditure during two-legged cycling in comparison to single-legged during both anaerobic and aerobic trials. This research was related to physiological responses in amputees that need to be further studied.
