NORTHFIELD, Vt. —After some extended travel I am finally back on campus for a few days. While walking around campus and the local area I have been enjoying the smiles, kind words, and well wishes from several dozen members of the extended Norwich family.
Since I have not seen many of you often enough this term, and with Thanksgiving a few days away, I wanted to share my sincere gratitude with everyone.
Fall 2022 is our first semester since 2019 with an enhanced student experience, full athletics schedule, in-person academic instruction, and the restored experiential learning system for which Norwich is so renowned. We are using this academic year to stabilize our enrollment and finances while simultaneously growing new programs and expanding partnerships domestically and internationally. These efforts are a significant lift for all, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for the incredible efforts being put forth by so many.
Please accept my thanks and admiration this Thanksgiving and always for all you do. Your efforts make Norwich one of the most admired and respected communities in the world.
It is my honor and pleasure to serve alongside each of you.
From my family to yours, have a wonderful Thanksgiving 2022!
Yours in Service,
- Dr. Mark Anarumo, Maj Gen (VSM) President, Norwich University
