The spring issue of the Norwich Record, Norwich University’s quarterly magazine, is out, with a cover story on the international students and cultures that enrich campus life.
The cover story, by Editor-in-Chief Sean Markey, collects interviews with students from Kyiv, Ukraine; Cuzco, Perú; Nakaru, Kenya; Hong Kong, China; Badakshshan, Afghanistan; Lagos, Nigeria; Taichung, Taiwan; and Hawassa, Ethiopia. All discuss their Norwich experiences and future plans.
The new Record also includes International Center Director Thy Yang’s essay on her family’s fleeing Vietnam during the Vietnam War; School of Business professor Dr. Seth Soman’s essay on emerging obstacles to the farming economy; an interview with Office of Ideas Director Dr. Julia Bernard on her goal to make campus a place everyone can thrive; an interview with incoming Athletic Director Ed Hockenbury; a profile of Norwich Boxing Club President Gabriel Williams ’23 and a question-and-answer session with Black Student Union President Lusia Aveolelaeosomaiilematasaua Cole ’22.
