NORTHFIELD, Vt. — Norwich University will host the Presidential Inauguration for its 24th president, Dr. Mark Anarumo, on Wednesday, Sept. 22.
The public is invited to attend events throughout the day that celebrate Anarumo's accomplishments, professional and personal journeys and vision to lead the university into the future.
The festivities start Tuesday evening, with a community ice cream social.
Here’s the full schedule of events.
Tuesday, Sept. 21:
5 to 7 p.m., Northfield Community Block Party on the Crescent. Meet President Anarumo and his family at this free community event featuring ice cream social, entertainment and activities. Free; no registration required.
Wednesday, Sept. 22:
10:30 a.m., Presidential Inauguration Ceremony, Upper Parade Ground. Installation of Dr. Mark Anarumo, Colonel USAF (Ret), 24th president of Norwich University. Free event, registration required: https://alumni.norwich.edu/HC/Register

noon, Inauguration Celebration Luncheon, Kreitzberg Arena. Plated lunch and special program. $30 per person, registration required, seating is limited: https://alumni.norwich.edu/HC/Register
1 to 4 p.m., Campus Celebration and Showcase, various campus locations. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests are invited to celebrate the historic occasion with free ice cream, VIP campus tours, student and faculty scholarship on display, Shock Platoon demonstration, carillon concert and more. Free; no registration required.
6 to 9 p.m. President's Inaugural Gala, tent, Wise Campus Center Green
An upscale dinner and auction to launch the President’s Fund. This fundraising event caps President Anarumo’s inauguration and kick-starts Homecoming 2021. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate with President Anarumo and friends at this intimate, black tie optional, one-of-a-kind event. $500 per person (Tax deductible amount: $450.) 9 p.m., Fabulous Fireworks: Best viewing from Sabine Field at Haynes Family Stadium or Shapiro Field House. Free; no registration required.
