E&J Gallo Winery, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to hold webinars on Handshake

Career-minded students can choose from several virtual events in the coming week events to connect with potential employers.

All events will run through the Handshake application.

From noon to 1 p.m. Monday, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia will hold a webinar on the internship program for its Center for Healthcare Quality and Analytics. Join here.

From 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, the E.&J. Gallo Winery will hold a “Process Technology and Startup Winery” webinar. In a recent job posting, the winery, founded by Ernest and Julio Gallo in 1933 in Modesto, California, said its process technology interns learn to start systems and support commissioning, equipment validation, and processing metrics tracking. Also, from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Target Corp. will lead “Investing in You!” a session on building a better Handshake profile. Discussion will explore maximizing work experience, demonstrating engagement, highlighting key coursework and showing off completed projects. Click here for details.

Admissions Office technical support session will explain how students can get the most from their iPads.

From noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, ScribeAmerica, a  Lancaster, California, provider of medical scribes to hospitals and medical practices, will discuss chances to work with board-certified physicians. Click here for details.

From 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Boston-based representatives of Amazon, the Seattle-based online retail giant, will hold a webinar on opportunities for software developers. Click here for details.

From noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, William James College’s Behavioral Health Service Corps will discuss and take questions on career opportunities in behavioral health care. Click here for details. From noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, William James College will hold an hourlong virtual session to explain its clinical psychology PsyD program and American Psychological Association-accredited internship consortium. EYE ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE: From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Master of Public Administration Speaker Series presents a talk by Vicki Williams on “Advocating, Arbitrating, and Mentoring in the Judicial System.” Details here.

SHARPEN YOUR SAVVY: The Admissions Office will hold a virtual iPad Classroom Technology and Support session from 8 to 9 p.m. Monday. Panelists including College of Professional Schools Dean Aron Temkin and mobile mentor Kene Onwe will explain how students can get the most from their iPads, which have broadened learning in and out of the classroom. STRETCH OUT: The Counseling and Wellness Center will continue a slate of beginning and advanced yoga classes of several varieties. The new schedule will post when the new month starts Monday. Check here for the full schedule.

Counseling and Wellness Center Administrative Assistant Krista Day said the sessions can offer respite and relief.

“Students can step back and focus on themselves for a second; they may not be able to get up and get outside, but they’re moving their bodies,” Day said. “Yoga helps you reconnect with yourself.”
