Plattsburgh, N.Y. – Norwich University students made a strong showing at the Free Enterprise Marathon held at SUNY Plattsburgh on March 1, 2019.
NU's team placed third in a competitive field of 13 colleges and universities, bringing back two awards, $1,400 in prize winnings, and a place in next year’s marathon. The interdisciplinary team included students majoring in management, computer security, and political science. This is the fourth time Norwich has participated in this invitation-only free-enterprise entrepreneurship event, which attracts teams from throughout upstate New York, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Management professors David Blythe and James Rogler served as mentors, “but the students’ success is theirs alone,” Blythe says.
