In late June, it was a flurry of activity at Steve Gagner ’03’s 14th Star Brewing Co. in St. Albans, Vt., with a video crew on site to capture his story. What is this occasion that once again has our illustrious alumnus in the spotlight? The Military Times has recognized Gagner as its inaugural Rebootcamp Entrepreneur of the Year—their top pick across all branches of the U.S. military.

“I’m honored and humbled because this award could’ve gone to any number of veterans who are doing spectacular things with their businesses,” Gagner says, while quick to acknowledge everyone behind the success of 14th Star. A veteran of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Gagner travels to Washington, D.C. in July to receive the award.

Through his 14th Star Brewing Company, Gagner has developed the following Norwich-themed beers to celebrate the upcoming bicentennial of the university:

2017: LEGACY/Hefeweizen

2016: FOLLOW ME/Golden Ale
