Expect Challenge. Achieve Distinction.

Keeping our Norwich students and community informed and safe.

As of March 18, ROTC departments are awaiting guidance on commissioning and summer training from their respective services. Norwich University and the College of National Services are examining several options for those commissioning — small group ceremonies at Norwich, individual ceremonies in commissionees’ local areas and a combination of the two. Once ROTC departments have additional information on commissioning from the services, they will share and publish it for cadets’ perusal.

Norwich University and the College of National Services will also continue to coordinate a ceremony to recognize students who receive their commissions in conjunction with the tentatively scheduled Commencement. This ceremony would not delay the commissioning of new officers; it would serve only to recognize commissionees’ accomplishments and provide an occasion to celebrate with family, friends and the Norwich community.
