EMPLOYEE WORK GUIDELINES (effective March 17, 2020)

Temporary Remote Work
 
Norwich University is open for regular business. However, in an abundance of caution and to help reduce the possible spread of the coronavirus, aka COVID-19, supervisors will allow their employees to work remotely if the employee can:

  • Perform the essential functions of their job from home;
  • Be contacted by their supervisor during the workday;
  • Protect Norwich University information while working from home.

This remote work is only a temporary arrangement until it is appropriate for Norwich University to return to normal on-campus operations. Supervisors must manage the remote work of their employees, including allowing flexible hours because children are at home.

Executive leaders shall determine which work units will maintain a physical presence on campus and the minimum staff needed. Some employees will be required to work on campus to fulfill essential functions.
