NORWICH UPDATES

Keeping our Norwich students and community informed and safe.

PLEASE NOTE: To date, Norwich University has no known cases of coronavirus on campus.

Because of the unfolding global coronavirus pandemic and Vermont Gov. Phil Scott’s “Stay Home/Stay Safe” executive order, lasting through May 15, Norwich University decided to move in-person Commencement from the previously hoped for May 30 to Sept. 12. This new date will allow us to celebrate the Class of 2020 meaningfully, when travel and large group events again become safe, and will allow for all of the pomp, circumstance and festivities that have become Norwich traditions.

Even with Commencement moved, degrees will be conferred May 2, as planned, so students can commission or confirm with employers they have completed all degree requirements and are Norwich University graduates. Seniors will receive their diplomas by mail from the university.

Norwich University admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
