A message from Norwich University’s assistant vice president for international education

On behalf of the International Center, I wish to personally express our excitement of the prospect of seeing you all on the Norwich University campus for in-person instruction. We cannot wait to meet our new students and to welcome back our returning ones.

Because Norwich University has decided to resume normal campus operations, international students holding an F-1 or J-1 visa are expected to:

  • Attend classes on the Northfield, Vermont, campus.
  • Enroll in at least 12 credits, with no more than three credits of online classes.
  • Agree to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Failure to adhere to any of the above may cause you to lose your F-1 or J-1 visa status, requiring you to depart the United States immediately.

Returning students who have been abroad for more than five months should request a new I-20 with an updated travel signature. Please email Laura Cornell at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and include your name and A number.

All students will receive arrival instructions — including arrival dates and documents you need to submit based on your lifestyle and student status. Please review it carefully and let us know whether you have any questions or concerns. We are here to advocate for you and support your needs and goals.

Finally, if you have not already done so, please review your airline’s COVID-19 test or vaccine requirements 21 days, 14 days, and seven days before your departure date. As a reminder, the university will not be providing airport pickup for returning students; we recommend using Vermont Tour and Charter. For information on costs or to schedule your pickup, visit https://vermonttourandcharter.com/

If we can be of any assistance, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Enjoy the rest of your summer. Stay tuned, remain in touch, and travel safe!

Sincerely,
Thy Yang
