After completing her B.A. in International Relations, Dr. Kohn studied education in her M.A. as a Fulbright Scholar, and she received her doctoral degree in Leadership (Planning and Administration in Education). Dr. Kohn has been teaching for nineteen years. Before moving to teach at the college level, Dr. Kohn had worked as an executive coach. She designed and applied corporate workshops on leadership developments. Dr. Kohn worked with CEOs, middle management, and also novice managers to improve their leadership skills. Some examples of the global companies she worked with are Bosch, Turkish Airlines, Liberty Insurance Limasol Bank (Cyprus), British Petroleum (BP), Hyundai, Ford Motor Company. Having both business (practical) and theoretical knowledge on leadership development allows her to bring real-life experiences in her class and integrate practical and theoretical knowledge during her teachings. She is also a Certified LEGO Strategic Play Facilitator, Certified Creative Drama Facilitator, and Erikson Coach Certificate owner. Dr. Kohn’s research interests are GenZ and their leadership perspectives, character-based leadership, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policies and practices in leadership. She is currently working as a Leadership Program Coordinator at the Psychology, Education, and Leadership Department.
