Sarah Manacek, MSN, RN, is a registered nurse, lecturer, and clinical instructor for the Norwich School of Nursing. She works as a registered nurse in the specialty of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at the University of Vermont Medical Center.
Sarah earned her BSN from the University of Vermont, and her MSN in Nursing Education from Norwich University. She is a member of the Greater Vermont Honor Society of Nursing. Sarah is a certified Apple Teacher and recently became recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator. Her scholarship includes nursing education and experiential learning utilizing transformational pedagogy.
Sarah’s academic interests include simulation, technology and informatics in healthcare, health promotion, critical care nursing, and mentorship. Sarah is an active member in the College of Professional Schools’ Digital Citizen initiative, with a focus on integrating iPads into the School of Nursing curriculum. Sarah is dedicated to delivering student-centered education utilizing technology and innovation in the classroom.
