Gina Sherriff received her BA in Spanish from Carleton College in Minnesota, an MA in Spanish from Middlebury College in Spain, and her PhD in Spanish from Yale University.
Her research has focused on Latin American literature and cinema, especially detective fiction and horror films as they relate to contemporary politics of the Hispanic world.
At Norwich, Prof. Sherriff teaches all levels of Spanish language and literature, including Spanish Conversation, Spanish American Short Stories, and the Senior Seminar on One Hundred Years of Solitude. She also works closely with the Honors Program at Norwich, serves as the faculty advisor for the Portuguese Club, and coordinates a variety of cultural activities on campus through the Spanish program.
Outside of the classroom, Sherriff is a certified Spinning® instructor and regularly teaches indoor cycling classes in downtown Montpelier, Vt. You can find more information on Prof. Sherriff’s Academia.edu profile.
