“I consider myself extremely fortunate to have been able to teach at Norwich for the past eight years. I find the students to be very professional and diligent. What I appreciate the most each semester is the ability to learn from my students, their breadth of life experience, and their perspectives on the material.”
Teaching Interests: Social Mobility in American Society, Ethnic Studies, The Study of Poverty in the U.S. and around the world.
What draws you to your field?
“In the realm of Social Science, there is rarely one definitive or finite answer to a pressing research question. However, through persistent research, Social Scientists get as close as possible to a solution while generating a great deal of new knowledge along the way. It is this cycle that has always drawn me to Sociology and Anthropology.”
