Nicholas Roberts earned his Ph.D. in History from the University of Notre Dame, where he was a Presidential Fellow and a research fellow with the Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study. Before, he earned an M.A. in History from Georgetown University. He is a specialist of Islamic history, with particular focus on the modern period.
