Mayumi Wagstaff –Blaise teaches English Literature and Composition I and II as well as Professional and Technical Writing at Norwich University. In addition, she is a Learning and Liberal Arts Specialist at the Academic Achievement Center at Norwich University.
Mayumi studied English Literature, Political Science, and International Relations at Elmira College in Central New York before receiving her M.A. in Writing Pedagogy at Mills College in Oakland, California. Her master’s project focused on American Literature specifically William Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom and The Sound and the Fury.
Mayumi has taught American Literature, Crime in Literature, and Public Speaking at Norwich University. Prior to Norwich, Mayumi taught at Mills College’s Center for Writing and was a Writing Fellow working one-on-one with the university’s freshmen. She also taught at the College of Alameda. Mayumi lives in Randolph, Vermont with her fiancé Pete, her three lovable dogs, and her pet hedgehog.
