Amy Hoeltge received her BS in biochemistry from Framingham State University and her PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Vermont, where she designed and developed a novel method for the synthesis of fused, bicyclic guanidines.
She completed her postdoctoral work at Williams College before joining the faculty at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Vermont living brought her back north, and she came to Norwich University as a full-time lecturer. Her research interests include solid phase peptide synthesis and synthetic organic methodology. She also enjoys hiking and creating art.
