The Architect Registration Examination (ARE) is the third component of the “three E’s” required in the path toward professional architectural licensure (i.e., Education, Experience and Examination). Education is met by completing a National Architectural Accrediting Board-accredited professional degree.
Experience is satisfied and documented through the National Council of Architectural Registration Board’s Architectural Experience Program (AXP). The final step in the licensure process is “Examination.” Overall ARE pass rates for the School of Architecture + Art at Norwich are above the national average and are online at NCARB's website. https://www.ncarb.org/pass-the-are
It should be noted that the national average to complete the ARE is 2.5 years; Norwich completion timeline is 1.5 years according to NCARB by the Numbers 2015.
