FAQs on Ceremonies FAQs on Arrival Logistics FAQs on Departure Protocols

Q: When must students depart campus for the summer?

A: All graduates, including on-campus residential students are permitted to stay on campus through noon Sunday, May 2 to allow graduates time to depart.

Q: What gates will accommodate student departures?

A: The Goodyear Gate on the Upper Parade Ground will remain open all day Saturday, May 1 for students to pack vehicles to leave campus. The parade ground’s circular drive will remain open for one-way traffic flow. Vehicles parked to enable loading are encouraged to keep the traffic lane open for smooth flow; students are encouraged to expedite their moveout processes.

The Upper Parade Ground will be roped off with traffic stations to deter large gatherings. To comply with Vermont guidelines regarding large outdoor gatherings, no celebrations will be permitted on the Upper Parade Ground. Student Affairs staff will monitor the area to prevent gatherings and help students check out of their barracks.

Q: When must departing students have their residence hall rooms cleared?

A: Graduates must have all of their belongings out of their rooms no later than noon Sunday, May 2, and are strongly encouraged to depart campus expeditiously.

Q: Will parents be allowed inside residence halls to help with moveout?

A: No. Parents and family members must remain in their vehicles. On-campus storage will not be available.

Q: Anything else I need to do before or after graduation?

A: Yes. Just after graduation, please participate in the Class of '21 First Destination Survey. If you have a job, or a job lined up, completing your degree, or seeking employment, please complete the survey.
