Campus Map Options

We request all graduates and guests to respect the following campus-wide policies with regards to our venues and grounds:

  • Pets are not permitted in ceremony venues and many parking areas are not shaded. Service animals are permitted.
  • Umbrellas are permitted inside ceremony venues, but must remain closed at all times.
  • Strollers are not permitted in Shapiro Fieldhouse’s aisles or seating areas. Please park strollers along the building’s back wall.

Seating

Tickets are not numbered or correspond to individual seats in the seating areas. All guests will be required to sit six feet apart. Ushers will be available to help guests find seats and to maintain social distance. Tickets must be presented for access to each ceremony location.

Tickets may be printed and/or scanned with a smartphone for entry to Shapiro Fieldhouse or Kreitzberg Arena and the alternate viewing areas designated for livestream viewing.

Accessibility & Special Needs

Accessible seating: Ticketed guests using wheelchairs will be accommodated.

Hearing-impaired guests: An American Sign Language interpreter will be present to translate the Commencement ceremony for guests who are deaf or hearing-impaired. The interpreter will be located on the main stage.

Ceremony Viewing Options

Ticketed Commencement guests who are not fully vaccinated will be directed to established campus locations to view the Commencement ceremonies virtually, or to pick up their student at their respective barracks or residential hall. Guests who fail to comply with these directions will be asked to leave campus.

A live webcast of Commencement, Joint Commissioning, and Army Commissioning ceremonies will be available for family and friends unable to attend in person. Click here for links and more information.

Dress Code and Decorum

While Commencement and Commissioning ceremonies have no official dress code, we encourage families and guests to dress in a manner appropriate to the ceremonies. Many of our guests dress business casual.

During Commencement, guests are encouraged to hold their applause until all graduates walk across the stage to allow everyone’s name to be heard. Please be respectful to all of our students.

Photo Finish

Official graduation portraits will be taken to the left of the stage, directly after graduates receive their diplomas. Both senior and graduate portraits are available for order directly from Gray School Portraits.
