  • Kathryn ProvostDirector

    Kathryn Provost

    Kathryn has 20 years of career coaching experience and loves working with Norwich students and alumni! Prior to becoming the director of the CIC, she worked as the assistant director of the NU Alumni Office, where she was able to develop a lot of wonderful alumni contacts who come in very handy in her current role as director!In her free time, Kathryn loves to ski, having done so at nearly 40 different areas in North America, including everywhere from Whistler-Blackcomb to the old NU ski hill! She also likes to travel, read, and spend time with her family and friends.

    Meghan brings 18+ years of career coaching experience and a true passion for empowering her clients to realize their values, assets, motivations, strategies, and goals. Her ability to work across a wide variety of industries and occupations allows her to provide useful resources and insight to her clients. She received her bachelor’s degree in Family and Community Services from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and earned her master’s degree in Education and Career Counseling from the University of Vermont. Some of Meghan’s niche areas include the Action Sports and Outdoor Sports industries. She says that watching the light bulb go off is one of the biggest reasons she loves her work! In Meghan’s “down” time you will find her in the mountains splitboarding in the Vermont backcountry, riding singletrack on her mountain bike or climbing.

    Internship Coordinator

    As an internship coordinator, Jim enjoys helping students discover their passion for real-world experiences. To Norwich he brings 20 years of experience working within the fields of education and human services. He received his bachelor’s degree in English from Washington State University and his master’s degree in teaching from the University of Alaska. His strengths include designing and teaching practical experiential curricula, focusing on the needs, abilities, and interests of his students. He believes that internships provide powerful tools for learning and self-discovery. His counseling methods are designed to help students discover their own values, skills, and aptitudes that will help them move toward a successful and fulfilling career.In his free time, Jim likes to ride his Harley and do home improvement projects. He also likes to go to garage sales on the weekend and spend time playing with his granddaughter.

  • Kat Collins, M.A.
    Associate Director for Leadership & Life Skills

    Kat graduated from Norwich University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and minor in sociology. At the start of her career, Kat worked in special education for a school district in Vermont where she gained experience developing individual curricula for students who required alternative approaches to learning. She also briefly spent time with the Vermont Department of Children and Families-St. Albans Unit, providing support to social workers and families working toward reunification. Kat returned to Norwich in 2013 as an assistant director of admissions. She completed a master’s degree in school counseling from Johnson State College in 2016, followed by an internship at Spaulding High School.

    Kat oversees the Leadership Development Program and Class2Class Program, and is developing a Life Skills Program for undergraduates. As the world of “work” is changing, she feels it is important that Norwich students are prepared to face those challenges, not just professionally but also personally. Through collaborations with other key offices and alumni, Kat hopes to give students opportunities for meaningful engagement so that they are prepared for and able to have fulfilling careers. In her free time, Kat enjoys knitting, exercising, and spending time with her husband and dog, IO (eye-oh).

  • Sherri Campbell
    Office Manager

    As the only “true” Vermonter on the team, Sherri is the heart and soul of our office. She has been supporting the CIC for 15 years and serves as both our right and left hands! As the office guru she is the “go to” for scheduling, budgeting, online platform administration, career fair coordination and so much more! She earned her associate’s degree from Champlain College.

    When she is not putting out office fires she is out in nature taking beautiful photos, cruising the backroads of Vermont on the back of her husband’s Harley, snow shoeing or spending time with family and friends.
