Celebrating 200 Years—Learn More About Norwich

Expect Challenge. Achieve Distinction.

The Youth Leadership Conference (YLCTM) is aimed at high school-aged students interested in advancing their leadership skills through an intense development program. Students will gain insight on teamwork, leadership skills, and how to identify barriers to communications. These events also teach participants about life at senior military colleges and encourages students to look into applying for Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships.

It is recommended that the applicant possess a 2.5 GPA or above. Students are required to submit an essay of 500 words or less titled: “The Bill of Rights and My Responsibilities,” describing what this means to them as a United States Citizen. Applications can be accepted at any time with or without the essay, but the essay must be received two weeks prior to the program start date.

Activities may include training on: the climbing wall, leadership reaction, the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights, free enterprise, and personal finance.
