Step 1 – Apply!

You can apply to Norwich University using our own application or using your CommonApp account.

  • Norwich University application. This allows you to apply directly to Norwich University.

  • The Common Application. This allows you to apply to Norwich, as well as other colleges who provide an application through CommonApp.

NEW: Take the Lead Scholarship!

Applying for the Fall of 2018? We want to reward students who are ahead of the game with a special $2,000 Take the Lead scholarship toward your Norwich education!

Here’s how it works:

  • Complete the Norwich Application or the Common Application.
  • Send in your required supplemental items (see Step 2 below).
  • Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and include Norwich University as one of your choices (00369200).

That’s it! Complete these easy steps by December 15, 2017 and you’ll earn an additional $2,000 each year for four years. That’s $8,000 towards your Norwich eduction. *Must be applying for the Fall of 2018 to qualify*

Step 2 – Send

Once you’ve submitted your application, you’ll need to send additional information before we can review your file.

  • Transcripts
    • High school students must submit their high school transcript.
    • College students must submit any/all college transcripts. Unofficial transcripts can be used for admissions purposes, but for evaluation of transfer credits, students must submit official transcripts from the college(s) attended.
  • SAT/ACT Scores
    • High school students applying for the nursing major must submit SAT/ACT scores. Other students are encouraged, but not required to send test results.
  • Essay
    • A writing sample is not required, but strongly encouraged. While your transcript shows your background in class, we know there’s a lot more to you than that.
  • Letters of Recommendation
    • Letters of recommendation are not required, but encouraged. Teachers, coaches, mentors, or employers are great references. Many can speak to your academic and your social skills. Let them help tell us why you’re a great fit for Norwich.

Step 3 – Visit

  • If you haven’t seen us in-person, you have to! Whether it’s the blue-clear skies of a summer day, the beautiful colors of Vermont in the fall, or the knee-deep snow of February, as soon as you see Norwich for the first time, you’ll be ready to move in.
