Norwich Testimonial

I distinctly remember telling my counselor that I would be applying to Norwich. Then I came for a visit, and fell in love with the campus and the students here. Norwich students are a special group of people (and not just because they can survive Vermont winters!). It really is a family here. I have found that Norwich is a great analogy for life, you will get out of the experience what you put into it.

Norwich Testimonial

I chose Norwich after three summers of leadership training here at NU during High School. Norwich was easily my first choice, and my time here was the most challenging but rewarding time of my life. While a student, I had the opportunity to compete on and captain a nationally ranked Collegiate Drill Team, lead my own group of Rooks, and even publish research through my academic department. Norwich has given me the skills and the qualities expected of a future leader in this country. Making the bonds that I have with my friends, and pursuing my degree and success in the Corps has cemented my passion for continuing to make Norwich the finest private military college in the nation.

People are often surprised to know that I’ve published research that has made it all the way to the Pentagon. My Senior year at Norwich I co-authored a document on the future of the United States Military and Structural Realignment which lead to Norwich hosting a world renowned conference based on the document itself.

Norwich Testimonial

Norwich has made me the man I am today. I can honestly say that my 4 years here at Norwich were some of the most influential and formative years of my life. During my time as a student here at Norwich, I was able to sculpt my style of leadership and truly find my identity. Within the Corps of Cadets and as an officer within the Maroon and Gold Key Club, I held several positions from sophomore to senior year that were centered around Recruiting and Retention and gave me the opportunity to share my experiences with prospective students and their families and hopefully inspire them to pursue the same experiences and style of education that I received as an undergraduate at Norwich. That passion remains today as I continue to “sell the dream” of Norwich to thousands of prospective Norwich students and their families.

Norwich Testimonial

Norwich was my “safety” school- I never expected to attend here, nor work here! I think far too many students “judge a book by its cover” when it comes to colleges. Don’t worry about the name as much as you concern yourself with the outcomes- job placement, opportunities for internships and summer research. Norwich rivals many “brand” name schools, and surpasses a few others, with the outcomes that our graduates have.

Norwich offers an experience like none other, starting as a freshman in the Corps of Cadets, I had mentors who helped guide me to success. As a sophomore I was a physical training instructor for freshmen in the corps of cadets and as a junior I was cadre for 27 freshmen. These two positions gave me an experience you wouldn’t find anywhere else, the responsibility that comes with the leadership positions at Norwich, offers development in leadership skills as well as work ethic. My favorite thing about Norwich is the people. Everyone is family no matter the grade or lifestyle, the people you meet at Norwich will be your friends for life.
