Data Specialist - Part Time

Description:

Part-time (20 hours per week) position serves as a key member of the Advancement and Gift Services team, which supports Norwich’s development and alumni relations efforts. This position is primarily responsible for data entry, basic research, and data mining activities within a Raiser’s Edge database.

Responsibilities:

 Receive and enter biographical updates from constituents.
 Ensure supporting documentation is complete for restricted gifts and pledges.
 Produce pledge payment reminders for donors.
 Produce gift acknowledgement receipts for all gifts and pledge payments.
 Periodically gather data for industry surveys.
 Fulfill ad-hoc reporting and mailing list requests, as needed.
 Complete daily deposit report.
 Cross train to fulfill other A&GS responsibilities.



Requirements:

Three to five years in a development related setting, higher education experience preferred.
Experience with relational databases, specifically Raiser’s Edge, is highly desirable. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products required. Associate’s Degree preferred.

Qualifications:

 Strong experience using a relationship management database.
 Ability to create, analyze and interpret financial reports.
 Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.
 Ability to independently manage multiple, detail-oriented tasks.
 Strong internal and external customer relationship skills.
