Administrative Assistant for Class Giving

Description:

Seeking applicants for a fast -paced, team and customer service-oriented environment. Provide support for all facets of the annual giving program including day-to-day administrative operations, managing files, databases and office records; assisting with communications including e-mail marketing and direct mail; and drafting and proofing written materials, including invitations, letters, and mass emails. In addition, assist during our special events, which includes tracking RSVPs, publicity, and follow-up.

The administrative assistant will represent Norwich University in a professional manner, be a team player; customer service-oriented; diplomatic; responsive; able to juggle multiple requests and assignments; and able to work with budgets and financial information – all while adhering to Norwich University’s guiding values. Other responsibilities include processing invoices, travel receipts, and other expenses; and tracking and logging multiple budget account expenditures and deposits.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with one year secretarial experience or high school graduation or equivalent with five years of increasingly responsible administrative, secretarial, and clerical experience. In addition, we are seeking someone with excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to prioritize workload for timely completion of important tasks and to maintain confidential information. This position requires a high attention to detail. Experience in higher education fundraising; Banner Finance and Raiser’s Edge; proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, mainly including, Office, Excel, Access, and Outlook; and familiarity with Adobe Suite products is preferred.
