Future Leaders Camp Staff - Internal Candidates only

Description:

Norwich University’s Future Leader Camp is accepting applications for summer 2012 employment. Available positions include:

First Sergeant (1) – must be a rising junior or senior (preferred) with a background in leadership and training. Prior camp experience required.

Platoon Sergeant (2) – must be a rising junior or senior with a background in leadership and training. Prior camp experience preferred, but subject to qualifications and interview.

Counselor Instructors (8) – must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior. Prior camp experience preferred, but not required.

Operation Sergeant (1) – must be a rising sophomore, junior or senior. Prior experience not required.

Public Affairs Sergeant (1) – takes pictures, video, posts Blogs, archive files and uses Flickr.


Positions are open to rising sophomore, juniors and seniors who are current students or Cadets at Norwich. Applicants must be in good physical condition, in good academic standing, and be willing to work long hours and weekends, live on campus, and possess skills relevant to the program, i.e., Leadership Experience, Military Training, Rappelling, Orienteering, Rock Climbing, Marksmanship, Drill & Ceremonies, Wilderness Survival Skills, Rope Bridging & Knot Tying, First Aid, and/or Life Guard. All staff will receive certification training in CPR, Basic First Aid, Climbing and Rappelling during Certification Week.

1SG & PSGs Arrive: 20 June 2012
Staff Arrives: 23 June 2012
Staff Certification: 23 to 30 June 2012
Session I: 01 July to 14 July 2012
Session II: 22 July to 04 August 2012
