Adjunct Instructor - Criminal Justice - Chengdu China Study Abroad Program
The School of Justice Studies and Sociology invites applications for an adjunct instructor in criminal justice to teach in our Chengdu, China study abroad program for the Spring 2014 semester (Late Feb – Early June 2014). The program is offered at the American Study Center in Chengdu, where Norwich has partnered with four other American universities and the g-MEO study abroad provider. The Chengdu metropolitan area of over 14 million people in Sichuan Province is the major economic, transportation, and communication center in Western China and gateway to Tibet. The successful candidate will be paid on a per course basis for three classes and for serving as the on-site director for Norwich and provided lodging and travel expenses to and from Chengdu.
An earned doctorate (Ph.D.) in Criminal Justice or Criminology or related field (e.g., Sociology, Political Science, Psychology) is preferred, but an M.A. and teaching experience in criminal justice will be considered. The position requires teaching criminology, courts, and corrections. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
