Civil & Environmental Engineering Lecturer

Description:

The David Crawford School of Engineering of Norwich University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position as lecturer of Civil & Environmental Engineering courses and lab sessions. Responsibilities include teaching of undergraduate Civil & Environmental Engineering courses and lab sessions, management of instructional laboratories, advising undergraduate students, working with colleagues in the Engineering discipline, and participation in School/University activities.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must have an earned BS and MS degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering, and either a PhD in Civil & Environmental Engineering or at least five years engineering-related experience in industry, armed forces, or government. Registered PE preferred. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate Civil & Environmental Engineering courses and lab sessions, especially lab sessions for surveying, materials testing, soil mechanics, fluid mechanics and/or site development. An important part of the Norwich Engineering experience is hands-on project work, so we are seeking a person who is comfortable and experienced in the laboratory. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. when applying.
