Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics/Finance

Description:

Norwich University is seeking applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics/Finance. As the Nation’s oldest, private military college (founded in 1819), Norwich University has small classes, motivated students, and a Corps of Cadets comprising 60% of the student body.

The appointee will be expected to teach courses in economics, accounting, and finance as assigned. Other specific duties are expected to include University committee work and student advising.

Requirements:

The position requires an earned doctorate in economics with preference given to those candidates who also hold an MBA/MAcc. Professional certification such as CPA or CMA along with practical experience in economics or finance would be a plus. Successful candidates should also have teaching experience at the university level, and a continuing strong commitment to undergraduate teaching is essential. Significant business/entrepreneurial experience and the ability to teach federal income taxes would be preferred. The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in ongoing professional development, conduct appropriate research and to publish in peer-reviewed and other professional journals and publications. Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
